JCC Jewish Arts Festival

The Jewish Community Center provides cultural experiences to the community during our annual Jewish Arts Festival. This year a one-man play, Kaddish, will be featured. Kaddish is an exploration of ritual, loss and unrelenting inner conflict after the events of the Holocaust: November 7.
Movie night – Raise the Roof, A film about the reconstruction of a Polish synagogue using only original construction techniques and materials. There will be a talkback by David Kaplan about his experiences on the crew. November 8
Movie night – Dough. An old Jewish baker’s faltering business is inadvertently saved by his young Muslim apprentice. A demonstration of Challah (Jewish bread) making will take place before the show. November 10
Deli Night. Join us for an exploration of the American Deli. Local Deli Man, Michael Feldman, will provide a tasting of favorite foods from Feldman’s while we watch the documentary, Deli Man. November 12.
Hanukkah Market: Vendors of books, food and crafts will be a the JCC in a fun filled day. Family entertainment and a Kids Art Yard will make this event special for all ages: November 15.

November 7. Two screenings 6 and 8:15 PM. Dinner buffet and talk back from creators of the play in between performances.
