1:00-2:00pm  Women on the Front Lines: Changing the Game Panel, presented by AMC Networks, New York Women in Film & Television, Women in Film Los Angeles and ReFrame.

AMC Networks will bring together leading women from the front lines in entertainment to discuss their experiences, work and the way forward.

Arianna Bocco, IFC Films EVP of Acquisitions & Production will moderate the panel, which will also feature filmmakers Ekwa Msangi, Haifaa Al-Mansour, Monica Levinson, Hanelle Culpepper, and Jackie Cruz.

3:00-4:00pm  Growing the Story, presented by Pure Leaf Cold Brew Iced Tea

This panel invites directors to have a candid conversation about the process of bringing a story to life, from its inception to the big screen

5:00-7:00pm  New York Women in Film & Television and IFC Films Cocktail Celebration

New York Women in Film & Television (NYWIFT), the preeminent professional association in the country dedicated to equality for women in the entertainment industry, will celebrate the women of the 2020 Sundance Film Festival, including 15 projects by NYWIFT members, with a cocktail reception at SundanceTV HQ. The event will also feature a special tribute to IFC Films in celebration of its 20 years championing independent cinema and supporting women filmmakers.

1:00-2:00pm  Close Up with The Hollywood Reporter Live: Indie Actors

A group of well-known actors and actresses sit down with The Hollywood Reporter’s Mia Galuppo for a frank, in-depth conversation about their work, inspirations and latest projects at the Festival. Panelists include Nicole Beharie (Miss Juneteenth), Amy Ryan (Lost Girls and Worth), Ben Whishaw (Surge), Winston Duke (Nine Days), Elle Lorraine (Bad Hair) and Meredith Hagner (Palm Springs).

4:15-5:15pm  HFPA Panel: “Women Breaking Barriers Year 3: Where Are We Now?”

For the third consecutive year, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA) will host the “Women Breaking Barriers” panel discussion at the 2020 Sundance Film Festival. This special panel will feature a Q&A with HFPA member Elisabeth Sereda, Sundance Institute Executive Director Keri Putnam, and guests including Kerry Washington, Frankie Shaw, and Julie Taymor. The panel will take a look back at 2019 and discuss the progress and new challenges that have risen for women in the entertainment industry over the last year.

A candid discussion with Sundance Film Festival’s notable directors, discussing their work at the Festival and beyond. The panel will be moderated by The Hollywood Reporter’s Piya Sinha-Roy, with filmmakers including Lana Wilson (Miss Americana), Lee Isaac Chung (Minari), Edson Oda (Nine Days), Channing Godfrey Peoples (Miss Juneteenth), Janicza Bravo (Zola), and Eliza Hittman (Never Rarely Sometimes Always).

5:00-7:00pm  The Glorias Premiere Party

A special event to celebrate the world premiere of THE GLORIAS.

THE GLORIAS (Julianne Moore, Alicia Vikander, Lulu Wilson, Ryan Keira Armstrong) traces Steinem’s influential journey to prominence—from her time in India as a young woman, to the founding of Ms. magazine in New York, to her role in the rise of the women’s rights movement in the 1960s, to the historic 1977 National Women’s Conference and beyond.

8:00pm The Rewatchables Podcast Live, presented by Peroni

Bill Simmons, Chris Ryan and Sean Fennessey of The Ringer host a special live edition of their podcast on Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood. Doors open at 8:00pm and the event starts at 8:45PM.
